Rule 1. Amines can be named as derivatives of alkylamines or alkanoamines. Let's see some examples.
Rule 2. If a radical is repeated several times, it is indicated with the prefixes di-, tri-, etc.
If the amine has different radicals, they are named alphabetically.

Rule 3. Substituents directly attached to nitrogen are given the locator N. If there are two substituted amino groups in the molecule, N,N' is used.

Rule 4. When the amine is not the functional group, it is named as amino-. Most functional groups take precedence over the amine (acids and derivatives, carbonyls, alcohols).
